You, probably, realized that work on our project unfortunately has been stopped. Till today i did not completely decided to continue our work or not. But now i could tell you that we will continue working on Necromancer's Dos Navigator.

The reason i stopped working on NDN was that i moved to St. Petersburg due to my arrival to Russia, and then, entering to university. And, of course, with all the things i needed to bring my computer with me :). So now i did. Unfortunately i do not have internet access in St. Petersburg, and my computer needs total upgrade. So, if you would like to contact with me in St. Petersburg, just e-mail me @ nec@novgorod.net, and my parents will tell me your contact information, also, forward the same message to necromancer@hotmail.ru address. You could leave me your phone number, and i will call you as soon as i can.

The other thing was that somebody hacked into our www site (www.necromancer.newmail.ru), so administrator changed the password, but without notifying me, cause i did not had internet access, so now i'm trying to contact newmail's administrator.

Now about current situation with the project:

There's some versions are exists:
DPMI32 - almost fully workable and stable beta version.
WIN32 - the same, but needs a little debugging, and adjusting, but the main core is fully workable. Also was tested with Windows NT v4.0, Windows 2000, and, yes, all the features with long names are workable.
OS/2 - Probably workable too (as win32 version), but i cannot test it due to not having OS2 distributive. If you can give it to me (in St. Petersburg, please, contact me.
Linux - Compilable, but due to not having linux, i cannot test it, and, of course, if we will try to port it on Linux, it will need a lot of work.
Both, OS2, and WIN32 versions are working now in LFN only mode, that means, that all the features which worked with Short file names were rewritten for working with LFN.

I'm not sure when i will be able to get to the internet next time, but i will be working on NDN.

Now about my computer upgrade: If you know the place where i could sell my 486sx, 66MHz, 510 mb hdd, sound blaster, monoblock, licensed software, brand name (Compaq) computer, please contact me.

Now, if you live in St. Petersburg, and somehow can help me with this job (computer/internet/programming), and/or need any type of computer service (installing new software, new hardware, any programming work, or restoring your computer work abilities, more...), please contact with me.

Yes ! We finally made it !

In fact : NDN/DPMI32 is *ALMOST* fully workable, of course, there are some bugs yet to fix, but it's already can do almost everything, but modem functions, format, and System info...

I a couple weeks, or so, i hope, there will be a test version avalible.

And with this version you will able to fit it in boot diskette, NDN now, will all functions, but without modem, and with English pack (packed executable) weights less that 500kb (!!!)

Also, i will not be avalible in couple days, due to my Arrival to Russia, and Yes, finally i will have a Cyrillic fonts on my computer, so there should be no troubles with communicating with Russian people.

During my moving NDN Team will have another lead programmer - Peter S. Voronov (mailto:petervrn@geocities.com), so you should send all bugreports and suggestions to him, at the time of my arrival, i will take this role, and notify you.

    We've released new version of NDN. It's Test version of stable NDN. This version wasn't released for public use, because we changed betatesting system - Now we'll make stable version, which will be placed on FTP, and then there will be new version which will be called betas. So, this version is pre-release of stable version for betatesting only.
    After all bugs will be removed from this version, this version will be avalible for public use.
